Mirror surfaces are able to visually expand the space, filling it with light. You should correctly use mirror panels for the ceiling and walls in order for this technique to work correctly.
Today, three types of mirror surfaces can be used to decorate a ceiling or wall:
It is not much different from an ordinary mirror. The main advantage of a real mirror is its durability. When following the technology and using high-quality adhesive mixtures, this tile can last for several years without losing its original appearance. This type of surface is produced in different design options: a classic silver reflective layer or more original shades of gold, pink and any other color.
They look like regular tiles. Like rolled panels, this material is quite flexible. The weight of the sheet is small, with the help of a clerical knife, you can give it an intricate shape. Mirror panels come with a moisture-resistant coating, so they can be used in rooms with high humidity. These panels are even used for additional furniture decor.
Of course, it is not enough just to hang a huge mirror on the entire wall. From this, the dimensions of the room will not change. But there are a few tricks that will allow you to expand the space thanks to reflective surfaces. Firstly, the interior should be light, and secondly, if a window is reflected in the mirror, the boundaries of the room will visually expand.
You should not use the technique with glazing beads, frames and other butt methods for a mirror panel from an abundance of tiles - this will only reduce the size of the wall. In addition, several closely spaced mirrors create the effect of doubling the space, therefore, people in such a room will experience discomfort. It is preferable to finish the upper part of the wall with mirror panels, then the room will become larger, and you will not be uncomfortable in it.
